Engr. Paul Oparah is a dynamic professional with over 18 years’ experience in the downstream sector of the Nigerian Oil & gas Industry. He is a certified project professional and grounded in the retail business. He is currently a PhD student in Production Engineering (Industrial Engineering option) at the University of Benin, Edo State. He holds a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Production Engineering (Engineering Management) from the University of Benin, Edo State, an Executive Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Project Management College UK, a master’s in business administration (MBA) in production & operations from Lagos State University and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering with Second class Honours (Upper division) from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
He is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NiMechE), and a certified British project professional (BSPM- UK).
He started his career in the downstream oil and gas industry as a Sales Engineer with Ascon Oil Limited, where he worked and grew in ranks. He worked in various capacities as Head, Depot Sales, regional retail sales coordinator and as branch manager in the South-South and East region before he joined Rainoil Limited.
He was the Group Head, Retail Sales in Rainoil Limited where he oversaw and managed the entire retail sales department of the Rainoil Group for several years before joining Eterna PLC.
He joined Eterna PLC on 20th December 2021 as the Head, Retail.
