Benignus obtained his MSc. from the University of London, UK, and BSc in Economics from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He became a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in 2020 and has received several hands-on trainings/certifications in lean six sigma, project management, business process improvement, COBIT framework, ISO 9001:2015 and Financial Modelling Valuation & Analysis.
Benignus has gathered professional experience from Access Bank PLC as a Business Process Analyst and Keystone Bank Limited as a Project Manager amongst others. Prior to joining Eterna Plc, Benignus was Heading the Strategy and Business Process Department of Abbey Mortgage Bank where he was involved in several business transformation projects spanning Business Strategy Formulation and Validation, Business Process Review, Organisational/Business Structure Design, Risk Management, Business Solutions Delivery etc.
During his career, he has supported the delivery of bespoke business products recognized for their impact on the bottom line of the organization.
Benignus currently oversees the Corporate Planning & Strategy Function within the company.
